Volunteering and ACT- Southern Africa
ACT-Southern Africa is thankful to volunteers who have been rendering free services to the organisation. Board members, researchers, web designers and other experts have all been giving their services for free and without coercion, for reasons other than financial gain and for the benefit of the community and themselves. Volunteers will remain an important asset for ACT-Southern Africa and through them organisational and development effectiveness will be achieved. Volunteers who contributed immensely to the organisation include, Mr. Andrew Jomo (designing the website), Mr. Clff Nuwakora (facilitating Strategic Planning), Mr. David Manyonga (guidance on programming), Dr. Ernerst Maigurira (setting up the South Africa office), Justice Michael Majuru (editing important documents) and Mr. Gabriel Shumba (research)..
Members of the Regional Board of Trustees have also been very helpful and these include:- Mr. Arnold Tsunga, Mr. Norman Tjombe, Mr. Obert Chinhamo, Ms. Shirley Mabusela, Ms. Heather van Niekerk, Hon. Wildorm Makonero and Prof Haroub Othman. Also important are services from the Zimbabwe Chapter Board members who include, Mr. Alouis Munyaradzi Chaumba, Mr. Charles Chiviru, Hon. Blessing Chebundo and Hon. Paul Themba Nyathi
How to volunteer in ACT-Southern Africa
Everyone can volunteer in ACT-Southern Africa. Please write to us and give your areas of expertise and we will find suitable assignments for you. Also note that you can volunteer online from any corner of the world. ACT-Southern Africa was also approved by the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) as an organisation that qualifies to get UN volunteers.
