| Areas of intervention for the Anti-Corruption Trust of Southern Africa |

In its Strategic Plan for the period 2008 to 2012, named "Plan for Corruption Eradication and Promotion of Good Governance in Southern Africa" ACT-Southern Africa identifies four areas of intervention:-
- Institutional Capacity building
- Anti-corruption policy and law reform
- Social Prevention and public empowerment and
- Research and development

| In its Working Paper 1, ACT-Southern Africa proposed to define corruption as "the misuse or complicity in the miuse of public or private power, office or resources for private gain". Download the Working Paper. |

| Looting of Global fund in Zimbabwe |
The Government of Zimbabwe through the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe allegedly misused a total of US$7.3 million of the US$12.3 million entrusted to it on behalf of the people infected and affected by HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases. In its Media Statement, released on 7 November 2008, ACT-Southern Africa called upon Zimbabwe to refund the money, make an apology to the national and also prosecute all those responsible.
